Ionix Construction Bricks Make Great Summer Activities for Kids

We’ve been happily adjusting to our new summer schedule. While certainly we plan to fill our schedule up with a lot of outside summer activities for kids like the beach, park, and pool, it’s also important to arrange a few indoor activities in case the weather doesn’t cooperate.

During the school year since Gavin is at daycare 4 out of 5 days, his entire home existence is focused around down time and when he can watch television. We argue about it constantly and it’s a big source of frustration for us at home, trying to balance the fine line between screen time and play time.

During the school year more often than not, I avoid lengthier projects because we need to clean it up and head out the door to sports, daycare, family activities or the supermarket which causes another transition tantrum all on it’s own. That being said, while it’s easy to turn the television on, the past few weeks we’ve been focusing more on construction toys, especially since we don’t have time constraints and fewer commitments.

Maybe because there is an element of newness and certainly most kids will pay attention to something novel, but he’s been so happy focusing his energy on putting them together most likely because we’ve toned down the hustle and bustle.

While certainly there are all sorts of construction brick toys available these days, we created these 2 videos with Spinmaster to highlight some of my favorite features of Ionix as a mother, as well as highlighting some of their unique developmental and educational features when they shapeshift.
