New Uses For Baby Items: BornFree Bottle Covers

On Fridays I have been continuing to highlight feeding items.  I’ve also been on a kick for new uses for outgrown baby items.  When teaching Gavin how to drink out of an open cup I started at 6 months giving him an opportunity to take some sips from an open cup.  For many children, using their baby stage 1 or stage 2 puree’s is a great way to help them learn open cup drinking because of the thicker texture.  If your child has been using the BornFree Bottle System, you are in luck, the bottle cap is a fabulous item to use as an open cup!  Simply fill the cap with your desired liquid or puree, hold the bottom and encourage your child to sip out of the rim while you control the flow of the liquid!  When we were trying to entertain Gavin in a restaurant one night waiting for our food, it definitely worked like a charm to pass the time! It was also a great item to use in a pinch if you forget your sippy cup.
