On a whirlwind trip to New York City for one of the last toy events prior to the holiday craziness, my family and I were also invited to attend another event, hosted by fashion designer, Rebecca Minkoff and Tollytots.

Tollytots is a toy company, that is a division of Jakks Pacific. They market some of the cutest and wildly popular My First Disney Princess dolls, as well as various baby accessories like baby doll strollers, high chairs and playyards. Gavin got a chance to play with some of the newest Tollytots toys, that included the Prince dolls, yes little girls can now have Eric, Prince Charming or Flynn Ryder, to play along with. Tollytots also represents some fun toddler and preschool toys from Baby Genius, Rubik’s Cube and Safety First.

Aside from eating kid-friendly food, the kids were served apple juice in sippy cups and encouraged to play with all the new toys, in one of the most gorgeous roof-top decks in Rockefeller Center. I also got a chance to meet Rebecaa Minkoff, a fashion designer, who works closely with the charity Operation Smile.

Operation Smile provides surgeries to children who are born with cleft lip and palate, therefore granting them a beautiful smile. Cleft lip and palate deformities occur in utero, and babies can have tremendous difficulty eating and gaining weight because of the hole that can exist in the roof of their mouth. In countries outside of the United State with limited resources, children may not receive the surgeries or care they need.  For every family that attended the event, Tollytots donated a reconstructive surgery or a smile for a child.

I attended this event and was not provided with any compensation. Any opinions are my own.
