Santa at Macys!

This year I have a feeling Christmas is going to be a completely different experience for our family. Gavin just turned 3, and this year he seems to understand the whole idea that Santa will be bringing presents to our home under our Christmas tree. He is already beginning to notice every subtle holiday detail. He points out Santa on the television, and every local florist or garden center we drive by that is setting up to sell Christmas trees.  We’ve read The Polar Express  at least 10 times and our Elf on the Shelf has arrived bringing with it his holiday magic. It’s only going to be a matter of time before we are tracking down a Santa whose lap he can sit on, and dare I say it, as inexpensively as possible?

If you will be looking for Santa this year, make sure to check your local Macy’s department store. At various Macy’s stores, throughout North America, Santa will be making meet and greet appearances! In addition, children are encouraged to bring a stamped letter, addressed to Santa at the North Pole. The list can be dropped inside the special Santa Letterbox. Not only will Macy’s deliver them to the post office, but for every letter received, Macy’s will donate 1$ (up to $1,000,000) to the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

Santa will be arriving at various Macy’s nationwide starting November 24, 2012 through December 21, 2012. Cities and dates are listed below.
