Are We Chic Enough for a 2013 Ford Fusion?

A few weeks ago a friend and I received tickets to the Shecky’s Girl’s Night Out event in Boston, MA, as guests of Ford. Ford was a vendor at the event, allowing women to sit in the newly redesigned prototype of the 2013 Ford Fusion. Their hope is that just like women try on clothing in the dressing room, they can “try on” the 2013 Ford Fusion for size without the pressure of a sale at the dealership.

For 20 minutes we sat inside the car with the representative, oogling over the fact that there is a hands-free parking assist feature, all of the buttons on the dashboard have been replaced with touch sensors, that the encasement of the engine includes 2 pairs of recycled jeans, and that there are over 31,000 soybeans used in the armrests of the vehicle.

Ford is giving away a new Ford Fusion, and those who would like to enter, can do so here. Visit the Ford Fusion Street Chic website to find a fitting room in your hometown.

At all the events, the Ford Street Chic location is a donation spot for used business clothing that includes accessories, hand bags, shoes and professional clothes during the months of October – December, 2012. These items are donated to Dress for Success, which is an organization that provides women with clothing to help find confidence and a new career.

The Shecky’s event in general was a trade-show type format where women shopped for jewelry, handbags, clothing and met with beauticians and estheticians for all sorts of pampering consultations. Our highlight of the night was dressing up like Fusionista’s (that’s me on the right)!

Ford provided me with 2 tickets to attend the Shecky’s event. Any opinions are my own.
