Okay Red Sox Nation, are you bringing kids to the ball park in July and August this year? Then you’ll most likely want to take note that in the Champions Club (Gate B), which is way out in Center Field under the bleachers, there is a Kid Nation Clubhouse.

So when your child wants to take a walk somewhere during the game, as mind frequently does, then you’ll have a refuge. While you wait with your child to partake in free activities such as face painting, carnival games, video games (Wii/Playstation), have their caricature drawn, get a balloon animal, or maybe even take a picture with Wally in the 4th inning, don’t worry, there are plenty of tv’s to watch the game and even a place to purchase a few snacks and adult beverages.

We did wait in some lines briefly, or I waited in line while my husband and Gavin took part in many of the activities, but it was great to have something to do to keep him occupied during the 4th through 6th innings. See more information on the Kid Nation Clubhouse here.

The Clubhouse is open most games in July and August, but consult the website for a few dates when it is closed. Activities are subject to change. Gavin loved it. Watch our video below and you’ll see some of the highlights of our trip. After that particular game on Father’s Day, Gavin and my husband even got to run the bases together after the game.

Don’t forget to sign your kids up for the Red Sox Kid Nation. For only $30 they will receive a jersey, backpack, and other discounts and opportunities to even watch batting practice. Last year we received all of the items complimentary and they are completely worth the price.
