A huge trend at Toy Fair this year were robotics toys. Though many toys featured might generally appeal to younger children who want to control and interact with toys through voice and sound, there’s been a continued interest in remote control constructible sets. The best part about these sets is that they don’t just have one build, they can be taken apart and put back together to create several different versatile products. However, while many often come with a hefty price tag, like LEGO Mindstorms, which costs about $400. I’m excited to offer a chance for you to win the Thames & Kosmos Remote Control Machine toy, which retails for 59.95 at Mindware.com.

Included with this set is a six button, infrared remote control, which allows children to control 3 separate motors simultaneously to move the toy forwards or in reverse. This particular set can build 22 different models that include a working crane, formula one race car, and a robotic arm. There are 212 building pieces and a 76 page illustrated instruction booklet. Parents or gift givers will need to purchase 6 “AA” batteries. The toy is recommended for kids ages 8 and up.

As I’m writing this post, I haven’t had a chance to review the product, so aside from price, I’m not fully aware of the pros and cons with constructing it, but I wanted to share the giveaway with you prior to the holidays, so I’ve included a YouTube video that you can also view to see how versatile this product is. Enter the giveaway through the Rafflecopter entry below the video.
